Report displays data average after setting the function to Max

Overview

The Max data is not generated after setting the function option to Max from Average in Report Writer:

 

The SQL query shows that both the average and max queries are the same:

Environment

All products running Orion Platform.

Cause 

A report with a function field that has initially been set to Average cannot be reset to Max.

Resolution

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Alerting, Reporting, and Mapping > Report Writer.
  2. Open the report and copy the SQL query.
  3. Create a new Advanced SQL report.
  4. Paste the query in the SQL tab and modify to use MAX instead of AVERAGE.
  5. Save and run the new report.
