Removing old polling engines and websites from previous migrations

Overview

When you run diagnostics on the main polling engine, you receive an error that refers to old websites and polling engines from previous installations on different servers. 

Environment

NPM version 12

Cause

  • Old polling engine in the engines table.
  • Old websites in the websites table.

Resolution

  1. Open Database Manager.
  2. Run the query below to remove incorrect polling engines that are no longer valid:

    Delete from engines where engineid = 

  3. Run the query below to remove incorrect websites that are no longer valid:

    Delete from websites where websiteid = 

  4. Run the query below to remove incorrect Orion Server that are no longer valid:

    Delete from OrionServers where OrionServerID = 

  5. Run Orion Diagnostics to make sure the errors no longer appear when it completes.
