Overview

This article describes the issue when the Read or Write latency on Virtual machine xxxx is higher than the 20ms threshold event is showing up in the Last 50 Events .  

 

 

Environment

NPM version 11.5 and later

Cause 

This is system default Alert and cannot be modified for the Alert Action. The only available option is to Enable/Disable this action.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Alerts > Manage Alerts > Find the alert VM Disk Latency.

  2. Click Edit Alert.

  3. Make copy of the alert. 

 

  4. Go the Alert Action and delete the NetPerfMon Event which is the cause of the Event been generated.  

 

 

  5. Disable the original alert. 

 

 

 

 

 

Another solution is to disable the Alert if it is not required.
