QOE does not detect Salesforce traffic

Updated January 31, 2017

Overview

It seems that Salesforce has recently changed the protocol and the currently released Procera library (engine used in DPI) is not able to detect it anymore. So the predefined Salesforce app does not work. The custom application should work, but as it is over https we are not able to detect the app from URL.

Environment

NPM 12.0.1

Cause

Salesforce has changed the protocol recently and currently released Procera library (engine used in DPI) is not able to detect it anymore.

Resolution

The workaround is to change the URL filter in custom HTTP application from "URL Contains" to "Hostname contains".
