Peak Calculation for CPU and Memory for Reports

Table of contents

Updated April 12, 2017

Overview

This article explains how CPU and Memory peaks are calculated for reports.

Environment

NPM 10 and later

Detail

CPU and Memory peaks are calculated from the polling data based on the time frame of the report. For example, a system with four cores reporting CPU/Memory:
50%
50%
75%
50%

The peak is the 75%.

SolarWinds combines all CPUs into one Mega CPU value for each node.
