Missing interface data polled using SNMP

Table of contents

Issue:

In some environments interface data may be visibly stripped from polling results. For example, an interface caption containing "<<content within double angle brackets>>" will be seen as ">&lt" or "<>" depending on context.

Resolution:

This deletion is due to HTML sanitization of SNMP data polled from interfaces. SolarWinds has provided a hotfix to address this issue.

This article applies to SolarWinds NPM version 10.6
