By viewing the tables in the SolarWinds Database, the user ID associated with the nodes can be found. To locate the node:

  1. Open either SQL Management Studio or the SolarWinds Database Manger and execute the following Query:

  2. SELECT TOP 1000 * FROM [dbo].[Credential]

This query lists all credentials within the environment by the name. The Credential Name matches with the name in the Manage Windows Credential page on the Web Console. Locate the ID Number for the appropriate credential.
  3. Open a new query and run the following. REPLACE the Hash Tags #### with the ID number found from the Credential list.

  4.
  5.
  6.
SELECT TOP 1000 Nodesettings.NodeID,Nodes.IP_Address,Nodes.DNS FROM [dbo].[NodeSettings] INNER JOIN Nodes on NodeSettings.NodeID=Nodes.NodeIDWHERE SettingName LIKE '%WMI%' AND SettingValue='####'

This query provides the Node Names and IP Addresses for the devices assigned to the Credential.

Before doing any work on your database please make sure that you have a current backup, as this will make a permanent change to your database.
