Job Scheduler v2: Results Notified Errors component returns excessive scheduled results

Updated April 12, 2017

Overview

The Job Scheduler v2: Results Notified Errors component in VNQM 4.2.4 is returning an excessive amount of scheduled results. For example, a server has over 11 GB of scheduled results when other servers are showing between 50 MB to 3 GB.

The following errors are displayed in the SolarWinds.JobEngineService_v2_11.log file:

  • 2017-04-07 11:24:47,114 [ResultWorker0] ERROR SolarWinds.JobEngine.Scheduling.JobScheduler - (null)     Error notifying results
  • 2017-04-07 12:25:03,717 [ResultWorker0] ERROR SolarWinds.JobEngine.Scheduling.JobScheduler - (null)     Error notifying results
  • SolarWinds.JobEngine.Scheduling.ResultNotificationException: An error occurred while notifying job results ---> System.ServiceModel.ProtocolException: The one-way operation returned a fault message.
  • The reason for the fault was 'The message with To 'net.tcp://servername:17777/orion/ipsla/pollingjobsevents/snmp/ssl/ssl' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to an AddressFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher.  Check that the sender and receiver's EndpointAddresses agree.'

Environment

  • NPM 12.0.1
  • VNQM 4.2.4
  • Multiple polling engines

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in VNQM 4.4. Please upgrade to that version to correct the issue you are seeing on your pollers.
