Overview

When configuration wizard starts automatically after upgrade, it may error out with a certificate error related to SWIS:

 

Connection to SolarWinds Information Service did not Succeed.  Last error:

No endpoint listening at net.tcp//orionservername/solarwinds/informationservice/v3/orion/certificate that could accept the message.  This is often caused by and incorrect address or SOAP action.  See innerexception if present for more details.

Environment

  • NPM 11.5.3 or v12

 

Cause 

This is likely an issue with Windows permissions

 

Resolution

Run the Configuration Wizard again while logged in as an account you are 100 percent sure is a local admin on the machine.
