IOS 3.6e on 4500 Series switches causes OSPF monitoring to stop

Overview

In at least one case, upgrading to IOS 3.5e on a Cisco 4500 series switch caused previously-operational OSPF monitoring to stop working. No new information was polled and routes became unknown in Orion.

Environment

  • All Orion Platform versions
  • Cisco 4500 series devices when 3.5e firmware is installed
