This article provides steps how to determine which interfaces are taking up licenses in NPM and is useful in situations where a user may be reaching or exceeding their license count.

NPM version 11.x

There is a built in report from Report Writer named Current Traffic - All Interfaces which lists all interfaces and the nodes they are associated with and can be reviewed and adjusted in manage nodes as required.

  1.     Login to the SolarWinds website.
  2.     Click Reports in the menu bar.
  3.     Use the search field and put in the report name Current Traffic - All Interfaces.
  4.     Click on the report to view it, you can choose to export it to PDF from here.

Another alternative, you can use Manage Nodes resource in the website, to see all Interfaces though this option does not show the associated nodes as described below.

  1.     Login to the SolarWinds website.
  2.     Click Settings in the top right.
  3.     Click Manage Nodes.
  4.     Change the drop down for Show from Nodes to Interfaces.
  5.     Set the Group By drop down to [No Grouping].
