This article provides brief information on high volume of transmitted discards reported on Cisco 3750 switch interfaces.

If your Cisco 3750 series switch is reporting abnormally high discards for its interfaces, confirm that your Cisco IOS is fully upgraded. A known condition resulting in incorrect output drop counters has been fixed in the following Cisco IOS versions:
