The methods used to encrypt NTM maps are not FIPS-compliant. In environments where FIPS is enabled for SolarWinds services, encryption should not be enabled when exporting maps from Network Atlas to SolarWinds NTM.

The following procedure provides steps to ensure that encryption is not enabled while exporting a Network Atlas map to Solarwinds NTM.
To ensure that encryption is not enabled when exporting a Network Atlas map to SolarWinds NTM:

  1. Open SolarWinds Network Atlas.
  2. Click Export > Export to NTM.
  3. Provide an appropriate location and filename for the exported map.
  4. Click Skip when prompted to Enter a password for the exported file.

This article applies to SolarWinds Network Atlas and SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper
