Overview

Alert email did not trigger because the alert was not set correctly.

Environment

NPM 11.0

Resolution

  1. Start > Solarwinds Orion > Advanced Features and open Database Manager.
  2. Click Add Server (add the Orion Server).
  3. Look for the AlertDefID on AlertDefinitions. Run this command:
    SELECT * FROM [dbo].[AlertDefinitions]
    where alertname like '%interface%'
  4. View everything that happens on the interface that is in question
    SELECT * FROM [dbo].[AlertLog]
    where AlertDefID = 'c84aeee7-c786-4f8b-92d4-1b86a08f5b80' and like '%[Nodes]%'
