Custom SQL Windows Node Credential Report

Overview

This article describes how to create a custom SQL report for Windows Nodes and their assigned credentials.

 

Note: Custom SQL is not supported by SolarWinds Technical Support.

Environment

  • NPM 11.0 and later 
  • Most environments where the tables are named the same

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Manage Reports page.
  2. Click the Create New Report button.
  3. Select Custom table.
  4. Select the "Advanced SQL Database query" option under the Selection Method.
  5. Select "SQL" for the query type and paste this query:
    SELECT ns.nodeID, c.Name FROM [dbo].[NodeSettings] as ns
    INNER JOIN [dbo].[Credential] as c on ns.SettingValue = c.ID
    WHERE ns.SettingName = 'WMICredential'
  6. Adjust or add to the custom SQL query above to add more columns/information.
