Create a component template through Component Monitor Wizard

  1. On the Orion Web Console, go to Settings > SAM Settings > Manage Template > Component Monitor Wizard.
  2. Select Process Monitor - SNMP and click Next.
  3. Select or browse for the target server.
  4. Select the process that you want to monitor. For example, csrss.exe
  5. Click Next.
  6. Assign a template name.

Create new alert based on the newly-created component/template monitor

  1. Connect to the Orion server through RDP.
  2. Go to All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Alerting, Reporting and Mapping > Advanced Alert Manager > Create New Alert.
