Overview

This article describes how to create an alert when polling a device for hardware health and the sensor is showing a value of undefined.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Launch the Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to Setting > Manage Alerts.
  3. Create a New Alert.
  4. On the Trigger Action Page, select I want to alert on a Hardware Sensor.
  5. Under Trigger Alert When, select HardWare Sensor OriginalStatus = Undefined.
  6. Complete the rest of the Alert Wizard.

This alert will trigger when a device has any sensor as undefined.
