This article describes how to create a custom view and assign it for a specific device type.

All NPM versions

  1. Create a new view:
    1. In the Orion Web Console, go to Settings > All Settings > Manage Views.
    2. Select Node Details Summary > Copy.
This creates "Copy of Node Details Summary".
Note: If you don't want to base your view on the Node Details Summary view, create a new view.
    3. Select Copy of Node Details Summary and click Edit.
    4. Change the name of the view and then click Update.
    5. Edit the view and customize as required.
  2. Assign the view to the required device type:
    1. Go to Settings > All Settings > Views by Device Type.
    2. Under Object Type find the device type to assign the new view to.
Below Object Type, you can see types of devices that you are monitoring with the Orion Platform products.
    3. Select the drop down and find the view created earlier.
    4. Select Submit.
