Create a custom property using the Manage Custom Properties editor

Overview

The following procedure provides steps to create a custom property using the Manage Custom Properties editor.

Environment

Orion Platform 2012.2 and later

Steps

  1. On the Orion Web Console, go to Settings > Manage Custom Properties.
  2. Click Add Custom Property.
  3. Select the property object type from the drop-down menu, and then click Next.
  4. In the Property Templates pane, select a predefined tag and the remaining fields are automatically populated.  
    Note: To fill in the fields yourself, select <Custom>.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Add Custom Property window, click Select Nodes.
  7. In the center pane, select your preferred node, and then click Add to move it to the right column.
  8. Click Submit. When your nodes are successfully added, the following message is displayed:
  9. Click Show Assignments to view the Manage Nodes page.
