Change the routing polling interval

Overview

This article describes how to change the routing polling interval for all nodes and the routing polling per node.

Environment

NPM v10.7 and later

Steps

For all nodes:

  1. Open the Database Manager.
  2. Run the following query:
    Note: Replace <minutes> with your desired polling interval. The value can range from 1 to 100080.
    UPDATE Settings
    SET CurrentValue=<minutes>
    WHERE SettingID='NPM_Settings_Routing_RouteTable_PollInterval'

 

For a single node:

  1. Replace <NodeID> with requested NodeID and <minutes> with poll interval.
  2. Check the settings:
    SELECT *
    FROM NodeSettings
    WHERE SettingName='NPM.RoutingTablePollInterval' AND NodeID=<NodeID>
  3. You will need to do only one of these following options:
    • If the setting does not exist for a specific NodeID:
      INSERT INTO NodeSettings (NodeID, SettingName, SettingValue)
      VALUES (<NodeID>, 'NPM.RoutingTablePollInterval', <minutes>)
    • In case the setting exist for a specific NodeID and you want to change the poll interval:
      UPDATE NodeSettings
      SET SettingValue=<minutes>
      WHERE SettingName='NPM.RoutingTablePollInterval' AND NodeID=<NodeID>
