Alert triggers for unmanaged node

Overview

Receiving alerts for a node that has been set to unmanaged.

 

Environment

  • NPM 12.2 and earlier.

 

Cause 

An issue with the Hardware Health component allows Hardware Health to trigger alerts on unmanaged nodes if something environmental changes the node's state (such as a power supply failure).

Resolution

Workaround: Mute alerts for the node first, then set the node to unmanaged.
