Overview

Alert triggers but does not product or send an email. Make sure that the distribution group that the email is supposed to be sent has the correct settings to allow the message to go through.

Environment

NPM 11.5.2

Cause 

The distribution group has internal settings that needs to be corrected in order for the alert to go through.

Resolution

Make sure that the distribution group that the email is supposed to be sent has the correct settings to allow the message to go through.

  1. Verify that the email alert worked successfully for a single user in the alert test fire.
  2. Verify that the email alert worked successfully for a separate distribution group in the alert test fire.
  3. Verify and edit the internal settings of the distribution group.
