Resolution

  1. Log in to the Orion server.
  2. Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced and Features > Database Manager.
  3. Click Add Default Server.
  4. Expand the SolarWinds Database.
  5. Right-click the database and select New Query.
  6. Enter the following command and click Execute Query to display where the node is assigned to:
SELECT sysname, ip_address, engineID FROM [dbo].[nodes]
    where ip_address = 'X.X.X.X'
  7. If the node is not assigned to an existing polling ID, click Enable Table Editing to correct the assignment. When you are finished, enter the correct value in the EngineID column.
