Active Alert did not clear



Active Alert did not clear, even though the condition is no longer true.



  • all versions of NPM



The alert's trigger action had been changed, without clearing or disabling the alert.  This can be verified in the Message History for the alert.



  1. Clear the alert.
  2. The correct sequence of events for changing an existing active alert's trigger condition is:
  • Disable the alert
  • Make the change to the alert
  • Re-enable the alert.
  • When the alert is disabled, all active alerts for this alert, will be cleared.
