Juniper model mismatch between Node Details and List Resources

Overview

There is a device name mismatch for a Juniper SRX5600 firewall between the Node Details and the List Resources view.

In Node details, the Machine Type displays the correct value "Juniper SRX5600 Firewall".

 List Resources lists the model as "SRX1400" instead of "SRX5600".

  • NPM 12.1 and earlier

This is by design.

In List Resources for the firewall, there are 2 radio boxes for CPU & Memory:

  • CPU & Memory by SolarWinds
  • Juniper SRX1400 v2 by SolarWinds

The CPU & Memory poller for Juniper SRX devices was introduced to fix an issue related to incorrect memory usage data when using the default CPU & Memory by SolarWinds poller. The poller for Juniper SRX devices was based on the SRX1400 v2 model, and hence the name used.
