Environment

Cause

The errors indicate that the MSMQ on the affected polling engine server is not responding correctly.

Resolution

Re-install the MSMQ on the affected poller:

  1. Stop all NPM services - Starting or Stopping Orion Services.
  2. Go to Server Manager > Features > Remove Features > Remove "Message Queueing"
Note: This may require a reboot.
  3. Add Message Queueing back in by going to Add Features.
Note: This may require a reboot.
  4. Uninstall the SolarWinds Collector service and Information service in the Control Panel.
  5. Go to %programdata%\solarwinds\installers and resinstall the two services removed in Step 4.
  6. Restart the Collector, Information service, and both job engines on the poller.
