Overview

This article addresses the issue where most nodes and interfaces appear to have incorrect statuses on the Orion Web Console and the last polled time in the related node details page shows some hours or days in the past.

Environment

NPM 11.0.1

Cause

This can occur after a SQL connection issue, the MSMQ may fail over and stop processing data, so polled data is not being written to the related SolarWinds database and stalling on the poller.

Resolution

  1. Delete .mq files in the MSMQ folder.
  2. Upgrade to the latest versions of NPM and all other modules that maybe installed to prevent this issue in future. Refer to the Solarwinds Product Upgrade Advisor
