Overview

This article provides steps on how to import Custom Poller (UnDP file or files) obtained from external sources (i.e. Thwack, Technical Support) into Universal Device Poller application.

Environment

NPM version 11.5.x

Steps

  1. Log in to the Orion server.
  2. Save/past the file on local disk (i.e. Desktop).
  3. Open Universal Device Poller application (Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Universal Device Poller).
  4. From there you can import the poller by going to File > Import poller.

After successful import of the poller, it is important to do the following:

  1. Assign the poller to desired nodes.
  2. Set the Web Display type and page poller results shall be displayed on.

Both of these steps can be accomplished by right clicking the poller in question and choosing the appropriate action.
