Overview

The following error appears in Settings > Discovery Central on the Orion Web Console after a fresh installation of NPM 11.5.2 on Windows 2008 R2.

 

Server Error in '/' Application
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies ) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested url : /orion/admin/discoverycentral.aspx 

 

Environment

NPM 11.5.2 on Windows 2008 R2

Cause

Another website that is no longer required is using the same port 80.

Resolution

  1. Stopped website that is no longer required. See Start and Stop Individual Web Sites in IIS.
  2. Change the bindings on SolarWinds NetPerfMon using the Add or Edit Site Binding Dialog Box and set the following options:
    • IP address: All Unassigned
    • Port: 80
  3. Restart SolarWinds NetPerfMon. The error should no longer appear in Settings > Discovery Central.
