Overview

What to do if you open the Orion web console, go to the view with your Google map, and the map resource has the follwing error:

The file '/Orion/Googlemap.aspx' does not exist

Environment

  • NPM version 11.5.x or later including v12

Cause

Google map folder is missing from the inetpub/orion folder on the Orion server.

Resolution

  1. This usually happens after upgrade. Look in c:\inetpub for the solarwinds backed up folder; look in it at Orion\Googlemap; if that folder is present, move it to the same location on c:\inetpub\solarwinds\orion in its entirety.
  2. Open a command prompt on the Orion server and run IIS reset.
