Overview

List all entities, such as nodes, interfaces or applications that are in the Maintenance Mode with muted alerts.

Environment

  • Orion Platform products with Core 2017.1 and later

Resolution

You can list muted entities using a SWQL query either in a custom report, or in the Custom Query resource within the Orion Web Console.

Import a custom report

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console using an administrator account.
  2. Download the attached report according to Orion Platform products you have installed:
    • NPM and SAM: the report lists nodes, interfaces, and applications with muted alerts
    • NPM only: the report lists nodes and interfaces with muted alerts
    • SAM only: the report lists nodes and applications with muted alerts
  3. Click Reports > All Reports.
  4. Click Manage Reports, and then click Export/Import > Import Report.
  5. Navigate to the downloaded report and select it.

The report is added to the Report Manager. Click the report name to see a list of muted entities. You can click the names to go to the entity details page.mutedEntitiesReport.png

Customize the report layout

  2. In the Layout Builder tab, customize the report width, logo, footer, or select a Page Layout.
  3. To specify the look and feel of columns, click Edit Table next to Custom Table.
    • To show custom labels instead of database table names, expand Advanced next to the column and enter titles for columns

    • To edit columns width, click Edit column width next to Table Layout, and adjust the columns.

    • Customize the number of results, time period you are interested in, or sorting.
  4. Click Preview to see how your changes affect the output.
  5. Submit your changes.

The changes are saved. To run the report, click Reports > All Reports, and click the report.
