Failed to add node in Orion stuck at Please wait while resources are being discovered

Overview

This article provides resolution on how to correct the issue when you are trying to add any node in Orion and it gets stuck after SNMP Test passed. 

 

 

 

 

You failed to add node in Orion stuck at Please wait while resources are being discovered.

 

 

Environment

All Core versions 

 

Cause 

 

You need to check the BusinessLayerHost logs and see you if you find the following error:

~~ Checked the DPI.BusinessLayerLogs ~~ found the DNS name failed to resolve

As per checking, there is dual Primary Engine Entry under AllEngines table and services failed to start due to the system name was changed. 

 

 

The root issue was the system name was changed and it created new engine entry into the Orion DB.
