F5 Devices hardware health details show undefined

This article describes the issue about the variance in the version of your F5 devices. It also provides information if you have the same F5 devices that are working compared to the nodes that are affected. 


NPM version 10.6 and later


This issue occurs because OID is possibly not supported by the F5 device.


  1. Log in to the Orion server.
  2. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion and run SNMPWalk.exe.
  3. Enter IP address of Node and Community String.
  4. Click Scan and then save the resulting text file.


Hardware Health is discovered in F5 devices when the OID below is discovered:

However the device needs to report the OID's below which are related to the following sensors:


Cpu fan

Chassis temperature

To know more, attach the SNMP walk logs of the working F5 device and the non-working F5 device and submit a case to Technical Support.
