Errors when trying to discover a VMware vSphere server

Issue:

While running a discovery in NPM for VMware vSphere Server, two errors appear:

1st error:

An error while processing results has occurred. See discovery logs for more details.

2nd error:

Unexpected website error: ProvideFault failed, check fault information.

Cause:

The Business Layer log is showing the following errors:

There are also a number of serialization errors and long-running queries in the Web and Information Service logs.

Resolution:

1. Run the Configuration Wizard in Repair Mode.
2. Once in Repair Mode, navigate to the core installation directory for NPM.
    C:\Program files (x86)\Solarwinds.Orion
2. Once inside the folder, type the following:
    ConfigurationWizard.exe\repairpackages
