Email formatting in alerts

Overview

This article describes how to make a neater format when receiving an email alert for application.

Environment

Orion 2015.1.x and up

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Alerts > select the alert "Alert me when an application goes down" > Edit.
  2. Go to TRIGGER ACTIONS tab and edit the Trigger action: Send an Email/Page.
  3. Change Message from Plain text to HTML as highlighted below:
  4. Click Next and then SAVE CHANGES.
  5. When you simulate the action, it will show a neater information as indicated below:
