Overview

This article describes the issue when ESX hosts are not being picked up and others are being duplicated.

Environment

  • NPM version 11.5.x
  • VIM version 2.x

Cause

The root cause is unknown, but it is most likely because the customer is polling through ESX and Vcenter simultaneously.

Resolution

  • Disable the polling through the ESX and Vcenter
  • Add the polling back again for the Vcenter
  • Follow this article found here for additional assistance.
