Environment

NPM 11.5.3

Cause

The hidden SWIS.ASPX page on the Web Console can be used to determine these causes:

  • SWIS schemas are corrupted.
  • SWIS was working on Main poller but not on Additional Poller (APE).
  • An unknown Orion provider points to some problems with loading the Orion data provider.

    The following file is missing:

    • "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\3.0\SolarWinds.Data.Providers.Orion.dll"

Resolution

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service and backup this file.

  2. Remove the Additional Pollers SWIS folder.

  3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service and copy the main pollers SWIS folder.

Note: You can also try running a repair on the core on the Additional Poller.
