Duplicate port causing website 500 error

This article describes the issue when duplicate ports in use causes website to fail to load successfully. 


NPM version 11.5.2


  1. Open the IIS Manager.
  2. Check the default website and the Solarwinds website.
  3. Verify they are not using the same port.
  4. If they see both websites are using the same port in bindings, delete the default website.
  5. Re-assign the port to the Solarwinds website.
  6. Reboot the server to verify if it runs successfully.
