When installing an evaluation version of an Orion platform-based product, you might automatically become a participant of the Orion Improvement Program (OIP), your usage data might be provided to SolarWinds and used to improve our products.

Although the data are not strictly anonymous because each Orion installation has its own unique identifier, no sensitive data (such as IP addresses or host names) are collected. OIP provides us with most valuable data which we use to tailor our products to your needs. Moreover, OIP does not impact performance in any way, so please consider participating in it.

If you do not want to provide your statistics to SolarWinds, you can disable this feature.

To disable your participation in the OIP:

  1. Log on to your Orion platform-base product server.
  2. Start Orion Improvement Program Settings via Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Documentation and Support > Orion Improvement Program Settings.
  3. Clear the Send usage statistics... box and click OK.

Your data will no longer be provided to SolarWinds after this.
