This article provides details and information regarding disabling of a specific event from the Orion Event Viewer.

  • All Orion products and versions

It is possible to disable an event from the Event Viewer in the dbo.EventTypes table in the Orion database. To do this, uncheck the options 'Notify' and 'Record' for the event to disable them.

Note: These are event types and not individual events. Disabling an event type will disable all events of this type in the event viewer.

There will be less frequent, and more useful, events of this type, if the event type is disabled.

For example, you want to disable the following event types:

id       Name
514    Hardware Unknown
515    Hardware Undefined

To do this, use the following SQL script:

update EventTypes set Record = 'FALSE' where EventType = '514'
update EventTypes set Record = 'FALSE' where EventType = '515'

Replacing the string FALSE with the string TRUE in the SQL script above will turn on those event types in the Event Viewer.
