Overview

The following procedure executes the required SQL Command to disable automatic index defragmentation on the SQL Server hosting your SolarWinds Database.

Environment

All Orion Core Versions

Steps

Important Reminder: Make sure that the account you're using have enough SQL Admin Privileges to make changes in your Orion Database.

  1. On your Windows Server, search for SQL Server Management Studio
  2. Log in to your SQL Server Management Studio
  3. Expand Databases
  4. Right-click on your SolarWindsOrion Database
  5. Select New Query
  6. Paste the query below in order for you to DISABLE Automatic Index Defragmentation

UPDATE dbo.Settings SET CurrentValue = 0 WHERE SettingID LIKE 'dbm-defragmentation-enabled%'
