Overview

You are running Cisco 3560 and 3650 switches but NPM is showing that it is not capable of EnergyWise.

Environment

  • NPM 11.5.3
  • Cisco IOS 12 or later

Resolution

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Nodes > Change to group By EnergyWise > select a node that is EnergyWise cable and in More Actions, click Enable.
  2. Go to Settings > Manage Pollers.
  3. Under Manage Nodes > click on All > select the box EnergyWise then click Assign on top > Group by Vendor > select Cisco.
  4. The node can be enabled if it has an exact match. Click Off and it will set to poller to On.
  5. If this does not work, try an SNMP walk to see what is output.
