Overview

In your Orion web console, a chart or graph is blocked out with the following message: :

Data is not available.

Environment

  • NPM version 11.5.2 Core Hotfix 6 and NPM Hotfix 4
  • NPM version 11.5.3

Cause

The chart settings do not meet the appropriate chart display requirements. This issue can occur if:

  • The Maximum Number of Data Series Displayed on Chart setting value is too small.
  • The Chart Aspect Ration setting value is 3 or lower, which is too small for charts that display minimum, maximum, and average chart data.

Resolution

  1. Open your Orion web console.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Under Product Specific Settings, click Web Console Settings.
  4. Locate Chart Settings.
  5. Change the Maximum Number of Data Series Displayed on Chart value to a value between 10 and 25.
  6. Ensure that the Chart Aspect Ratio setting is set to a value above .3.
  7. Save your settings.
  8. Return to your web console and verify that the charts appear correctly.

See Some chart data does not display in the Orion web console for additional information.

***Check for a huge number of days in Polling Settings like 1500000 days for traps***

***Also try to run Database Maintenance and see if you get an error***

See: Run the database maintenance manually
