Overview

You required device MIB to import in Orion MIB Database

Environment

  • NPM All Versions

Steps

Please Note Orion MIB DB is only used for Translation of Traps OID into meaning full name .

A good explanation of what adding  MIB's in Orion can do  found here.

Please Note.

  • Adding MIBs into Orion will not change the way Orion polls devices.  (Such as CPU/Interfaces/Volumes/Temperature)
  • Adding MIBs into Orion will not change a device that has an Unknown Machine Type.
  • Adding MIBs into Orion will allow Orion to display trap messages from the device if it is not already.
  • Adding MIBs into Orion will allow you to search for OIDs in the Universal Poller.  However, if you already know the OID you wish to use, you can create a Universal Device Poller for your device even if the MIB is not in our MIB database.

Please find Video Tutorial how to use Universal Device Poller to poll the OID .
