Overview

This article provides steps to create an alert on a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) when two values are returned.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Create a Universal Device Poller.
  2. Create a new alert in the Orion Web Console.
  3. Check the data from the database. Run the following query using the name of the polling engine to identify the custompollerid. For example, upsAdvBatteryCapacity is the name of the polling engine, substitute the name of the polling engine in the following query, where UniqueName='InsertNameofyoupollerhere'.
    SELECT * FROM [dbo].[CustomPollers]
    where UniqueName ='upsAdvBatteryCapacity'

Similar data will then be returned: CustomPollerID: a519ce64-33c3-490c-b0f8-04982911cd3e

  4. Run the following query. Replace the value of the custompollerid returned from the first query:
    SELECT * FROM [dbo].[CustomPollerAssignment]
    where custompollerid ='a519ce64-33c3-490c-b0f8-04982911cd3e'
All the polling engine assignments will then be listed.
  5. Run the following query using the custompollerassignmentid to obtain the raw data returned:
    SELECT * FROM [dbo].[CustomPollerStatistics_Detail] where CustomPollerAssignmentID = '7A47BC3E-2FCC-4209-9F5E-060A0909BDFD'
The following table shows the value returned and the rowid for each value. You can also use the rowid to select the value that needs to be triggered. For example rowid = 1
