Overview

This article describes how to create an alert action to reboot the Windows server if the service status is down.

Environment

NPM 11.5 and later

Steps

  1. Go to Alert Trigger Action and locate the Execute an External VB Script option.
  2. Create a script to execute a system reboot when the alert triggers if the service status is down.

See the How to force restart a Windows box using VBScript? article for an example of a VBScript.
