Create a Universal Device Poller and report on Cisco serial numbers

Overview

This article provides steps on how to create a report that reports on Cisco serial numbers via a Universal Device Poller.

Environment

All versions of Orion products

Steps

  1. Go to Start > All programs > SolarWinds Orion> Network performance Monitor> Universal Device Poller.
  2. Click New Universal Device Poller.
  3. Input the following OID1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 and click Next.

    4. Select your required Node and click Test.

   5. Click Finish.

   6. Import the report attached in Orion Report Writer.

   7. Go Start > All Programs > SolarWidns Orion > Alerting Reporting Mapping.

   8. Click Open > browse the Report and save.

Wait for Next Polling Interval and you should be able to view the Results on the web page.

This report can be searched for in the Web-based reports after adding it to %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion\Reports.
