Overview

This article describes how to create a UnDP transform with an addition formula and a list of possible instances that might cause a KB article 4779 error.

Environment

All Orion Platform versions

Steps

  1. Create two pollers called ssCPURawUser and ssCPURawWait.
  2. Set the polling time to 5 minutes.
  3. Create a transform called testCPU.
  4. Set the polling time to 5 minutes.
  5. Create an addition formula:
    {ssCPURawUser} + {ssCPURawWait}
  6. Test to verify that the transform is working. 

 

The following describes how to address issues that can occur in the database:

  • Node down - Confirm that the selected node or the parent node of the selected object is operationally up.
  • Mismatched interval - Confirm that the transform interval of the assigned Universal Device Poller matches the polling interval of the selected object.
  • Unassigned UnDP - Assign the transformed Universal Device Poller to the selected object.
  • Unenabled UnDP Poller - Right-click the poller and click Enable.
  • Spelling mistake in the formula - Add the poller using the drop-down menu and not directly.
