This article describes the issue when installing NPM and you are unable to load the web page. check the site bindings to ensure the port is not being used on another site.



NPM version 11.5.3


This issue occurs when ports are being used by another website. For example, when you have one specified IP address for port 80 and this is also being used by the default another, this may lead to not being able to access the website. 


  1. Stopped the default site.
  2. Changed the IP address on the Orion Site from the specific IP address to All Unassigned.
  3. Save the changes.
  4. Restarted all Orion Services.
