Configuration Wizard fails due to an error of unsupported keyword

Overview

Configuration Wizard does not complete due to the following error:

 ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Common.SWEventLogging - Service was unable to open new database connection when requested.
ArgumentException: Keyword not supported: 'provider'.
Connection string - Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=%ACCESSDATABASE;Mode="Share Deny None"

Environment

  • All modules and versions that use Orion Core Platform

 

Cause 

This is due to a corrupted connection string.

Resolution

  1. Cut this file from Volume:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\swnetperfmon.db to desktop.
  2. Re-run the Configuration Wizard.
